New to Reactor for this year is Studio ONY, the husband and wife team of Richard and Shannon Townsend. Studio ONY produces the popular webcomic Otaku-no-Yen (Geeks Without Money). A self-taught artist in the manga and anime style, Shannon discovered anime more than a decade ago. Her work has been published in the Teenagers From Outer Space RPG book The Landing, Game Pro Magazine, and Katmandu Annual. After a stint as a writer for A2 Press, a gaming Chicago gaming company, Richard Townsend decided to join his wife in the webcomic realm. He also speaks at libraries to help educate parents about anime and manga, spearheading numerous panels at conventions each year.
